After three weeks, this semester will be ended. This semester is my second semester after coming at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, so I want to more focus on my study, especially my major field, electrical engineering. To tell the truth, courses hat I am taking on this semester are very hard for me and suffering me. So, I always stay in grainger library (engineering library) everyday. Now, I feel very comfortable when I stay there. Maybe, I think that this situation will keep going until I graduate.
I am taking one major courses about computing system. People said that this course is the first crisis for ECE students because it is really hard course and require lots of works. However, I ignore the advice because that course’s name is ECE190. It’s for freshman because the name starts with 1. At first, I think that this course is easy, so the course name is 1. But it’s not. I understood that the course requires lots of works such as homework, machine problem, and studying for solve the homework and machine problem. Every Wednesdays on this semester was a horrible day because 10pm on the day is deadline to turn in homework, even still now. However, during keep following the course, I found a big interest from computing system and programming. Even I consider that my major transfer to computer engineering. Although this course is really difficult and has lots of stuff, it’s not boring during studying.
Also, I took quantum physics on this semester. This course is already over because it is for 8 weeks. This course studies for electron and photon. These make me crazy. Their motion cannot be fixed. All results of research is how much probability the condition has. Physics class also requires lots of time to study. This course has just 2 credits, but the course consists of two lectures (1.5 Hours) per week, one lab (2 Hours) per week, and one discussion class with quizzes (2 Hours) per week. Also, it has one homework every week, and I should spend one day to finish the homework. That’s not two credits….
To sum up, this semester for my major is not bad because I learned lots of thing about computing systems and quantum physics. I think that these theories that I got form these courses will be helpful for me to next semester. So I will try to get 4.0.

Recently, lots of national soccer teams were very busy because of world cup qualifying match. However, lots of soccer clubs suffered from temporary transfer. So, many coaches of popular club which has lots of good players feel uncomfortable because their club’s strength is decreased. Therefore, this situation always leads to conflict between national team coaches and club team coach. In case of national team, coaches insist that national team has a right to pick the players. In case of club team, coaches assert that national teams have to allow us to pick our players because they are ours. I think that national teams have to respects club’s decision because they are paying money for them and they know well player’s condition than others.
First of all, football club team pays lots of money for players. They pay lots of money to player so as to make a good record in their league. The amount of money is really huge. For example, Real Madrid, a famous Spanish football club, made a contract with Christiano Ronaldo. He receives over 20 million per week. Let’s think about it. If he went to his country to play a national team game and he injured during the game, the club loses lots of money. Needless to say, the player wants to play for his country. However, he has to follow the club’s decision because the club has a right about the player during the contract. Also, the national team coaches and citizens should understand the player who is under this condition. Therefore, national team coaches have to follow club’s decision because they pay lots of money to players.
Second, football club team knows well player’s body condition than national team coach. Many famous football clubs have an excellent system to manage their players, so they have a lot of data for each player. Accordingly they can know easily their health condition based on lots of data such as team doctor’s body checking list and training coaches’ opinion. However, national team coaches don’t have any data of the player about current condition. Hence, their immoderate decision leads the player to injure. For example, Ji Sung Park, Korean, is in Manchester United, famous football club in English premier league. His condition was really bad, but the national team coaches wanted him because he is a key player in national team. At the end, he played for national team and was injured. Therefore, I think that national teams have to understand clubs’ decision for teams and players.
To sum up, national teams should agree with the club’s decision because clubs pay lots of money for the players and know well their condition. Even though players have a pride by playing for own country, both national team and club team have to think the player’s condition at first and respect their decision.

Have you ever parked your car on street parking spot? If your answer is yes, you know that the street parking is very convenient. These days, city of Champaign is promoting “green and white” policy. The policy is that sidewalk makes to be widely by getting rid of space of street parking and encourage using transportation. Decreasing a street parking spot has good and bad effects to student and others. The good things are about viewing and environment, while bad things are about parking problem and discomfort for students.
First of all, there are two elements that will be enhanced by this policy. At first, the campus will have a better view because lots of parking cars will banish on the street. Actually, the parking cars on the street don’t help to make beautiful campus. So, students want to walk around the campus because there are lots of beautiful streets on the campus. Another advantage is that we can prevent air pollution. Actually many students use their cars to go to class, and they park their cars on the street parking spot that is around classroom. After finishing construction that gets rid of street parking spot, many people have to take a bus and walk in order to go to class. As a result, many students cannot use their car, and we can prevent air pollution. Moreover, we can save a fuel thanks to this policy. Therefore, making beautiful campus and preventing air pollution are good effects.
Second, there are two bad effects by policy. At first, the parking problem will increase because the parking spot is decreased. The campus already has a big parking problem. For example, when I drove to class, I couldn’t find parking spot. So, I had to drive same way again and again to find the spot. Moreover, I spent lots of time to find spot, so I was late. After finishing construction, this problem will be worsening. Another problem is that students will feel uncomfortable. Once they have to park their cars on the parking lot that is far from their classroom when they takes own car to go class. After that, they have to choose taking a bus or walk. As a result, they will feel uncomfortable. Therefore, increasing parking problem and feeling uncomfortable are bad effects.
To sum up, the new policy of Champaign will bring two different results: good or bad. Actually, I think that this policy is good for both students and campus because we will be adapted to bad thing.
